ADV Communications was
formed in October 1998, based on a small but dedicated team of
experienced videoconferencing, networking and audio-visual specialists, who
had established the concept of the company to take on the challenges of an
exciting and developing marketplace.
Through previous experience
ADV had identified that VTEL could provide the most comprehensive
range of products and services to the videoconferencing user at that time, and with the
future demands of application and data sharing had the greatest experience
and development of micro-processor based systems.
Subsequently, a Reseller agreement with
VTEL Corporation, for
the sale, maintenance and technical support of their complete range of videoconferencing
systems and services was undertaken.
1999 - In the latter quarter of 1999 ADV Communications became authorised
resellers of BT Network
Services, including PSTN, ISDN and leased line circuits.
2000 - In January 2000 ADV Communications extended it's product range further by
becoming resellers of the of Da Vinci and
SmartWALL complete presentation
solutions and SMART
Technologies range of interactive electronic whiteboards.
In October 2000 ADV
Communications began a new chapter in it's development by becoming part of
the Dickerman Overseas Contracting Co Ltd Group.
Dickerman Overseas
Contracting Co Ltd, principally provide a variety of contracting services
at sea, in particular to the offshore oil and gas industry, and service
over 10,000,000 tons of shipping.
However, by the incorporation of a
number of companies, such as ADV Communications, with diverse portfolios
into the group, the group as a whole continues to offer it's valued client
base with a wealth of new skills and expertise.
Subsequently, the
involvement of the Dickerman's group has resulted in a wealth of new
opportunities to ADV Communications enabling us to explore many new
avenues, whilst providing a very positive future of expansion and
development for the company and our customers.

and development will allow us to continue to build upon the very high
levels of commitment and service we already provide our clients. And
by providing such a
personal and high standard of support ADV Communications will continue to be a source of
success and competitive ADVantage for our customers and business partners.
2001 - In order to
maintain our focus in providing our clients with the very best in total solutions, ADV
Communications has expanded it's core product range to incorporate the
best solutions and services from the leading videoconferencing
manufacturers of Polycom, Sony
and VTEL.
ADV's reasons for becoming a multi-vendor
reseller are to ensure that we can continue to offer the very best options
to our existing and new clients. We have always been advocates of
promoting videoconferencing as a 'concept' and not simply a piece of
hardware. Positioning ourselves as a multi-vendor reseller allows us to
provide a full package to our clients ensuring that together we provide
their end-users with the exact solution that they require.
Through our alliances we
have opted to offer the best systems from each range ensuring that we have
a solution for virtually every type of mainstream video conferencing
application. The market leading set-top
range of Polycom ViewStations and iPower PC-based series and
Sony's set-top solutions are amongst the additions to our range, which also includes furniture
options, conference phones and peripherals.
2002 - ADV

2003 - ADV
Communications add TANDBERG to its
portfolio. Tandberg have achieved massive growth within the
Videoconferencing equipment arena because of its unparalleled strengths of
functionality, usability and build quality.
2004 - ADV partner
with Aethra to offer advanced dual-network Videophones, allowing
affordable and flexible videoconferencing to the desk solutions to be
offered.
ADV continue to develop
specialist solutions for the Telemedicine market, offering unique
bespoke solutions for specific needs.
